Nigeria Professional Football League side, Remo Stars FC, are set to take on Gateway United in the Semifinal of the Ogun State FA Cup on Thursday 16th June, 2022 for a chance to play for the title.
Gateway United are defending champions of the cup and Remo Stars captain Nduka Junior has spoken on his teams readiness to create an upset.
“They are the defending champions, it’s a cup game with no second chance, but we’re not under pressure and we’ll approach the game like every other game,” Nduka told Sports247.
“It’s a local derby, it’s going to be tough but at the end, I believe we should be able to make it to the final and get a chance to play at the nationals,” Nduka added.
The winner is set to play Ijebu United who earlier booked a spot in the final defeating NNL side, Stormers Sports Club 5-3 on penalties after ending goalless in regulation time.
