Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has declared that the focus of him and other players in the Super Eagles is first on Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya, before they start thinking about the second leg in Sfax, Tunisia.
Although he acknowledged that they plan to win both matches, the former Academica de Coimbra of Portugal tall star said they most not let the next game distract the first one.
With that in mind, Ogu is now talking tough ahead of the clash at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, as he says the Eagles want to get the first of two potentially decisive games behind them in glorious fashion.
Ogu said: “We know we have two difficult games against a good Libyan side, who are top of the group, but we are looking forward to them.
“We will start by giving all we have so to win the two games against them. We won’t be carried away by their problems.
“We just want to remain focused. Our target is to get the three points on Saturday before we start thinking of the next game on Tuesday.”
