Nigeria’s fast-rising karate youngster, Elizabeth Oghenevwogaga has declared that she has a burning ambition top become a senior national team competitor for the country.
Speaking against the backdrop of her most valuable athlete title at the recent Zainab Saleh Female Karate International Championships in Lagos, Oghenevwogaga said wants a senior national team invitation.

Considering her confidence to excel at the highest level and her belief that she has what it takes to make waves for Nigeria, Oghenevwogaga said she is determined to shine at senior level and will not stop short.
Oghenevwogaga said: “I am very pleased with my performance at the Zainab Saleh female championships in Lagos but my main aim is to represent Nigeria at the senior level.
“I have been inspiring myself in all my competitions, but what inspired me more was the Africa Youth Games, which I attended in Algeria.
“Though I was cheated, but my performance made me believe I can do better and conquer.
“My prayers from the day I started the sport, karate is to compete at the international level.
“I think God is making the way out now and I thank God for his uncountable blessings on me.”
