Team Manager Of Ogba Centre football team, Etim Dominic has dedicated team’s victory to God and fans after winning KIFA Challenge Cup in Lagos.
Ogba centre defeated Ifako centre football team 6-4 on penalty shootout after 1-1 at the regulation time in the final of KIFA Challenge Cup played at Agege Stadium recently in Lagos.
Dominic who was adjudged best coach of the tournament said the competition was a tough one for him but thanked God that his team won the tournament.
“Nobody gave us a chance that we would win the tournament but we shame our critics and emerged the winner. I am using this medium to dedicate this victory to God and fans who have been supporting us since we started this team.
“I thank them for their unalloyed support given to us in all our matches to achieve this victory because we came to this tournament as minor but today (Tuesday) we emerged as the winner of the tournament,” he said.
Commenting on the team’ challenges, Dominic who doubles as coach said his team need support from all and sundry noting that if the team are well supported by individuals or corporate bodies, they can achieve more in a subsequent competition.
