Nigeria descent striker, Muhamed Tijani has joined Czech club, Slavia Prague on a five year deal from Banik Ostrava.
The lethal striker who started his football career in the Nigerian club 36 Lion will follow in the footsteps of compatriots – Peter Olayinka, Yira Sor and Moses Usor who also played in the renowned academy to defend the red and white colors of Praha.

He also went through Nigeria’s youth national team selections, together with Igoh Ogbue, he played at the 2019 Under-20 World Cup.
Speaking after his unveiling, Muhamed Tijani said: “I’m excited, I like challenges. Transferring to Slavia is exactly the kind of challenge I wanted. I’m looking forward to the European matches, to the fans.”
“I would like to be the top scorer in the league one day. I know Igoh from the youth team, he has a special place in my heart.’
“Olayinka was certainly an inspiration not only to me but to other footballers from Nigeria. I would like to be as successful as him one day,” Tijani allayed.
Meanwhile, Slavia sports director Jiří Bílek couldn’t hide his excitement over the club’s new signing.
“We got a fit, powerful, productive striker. He had a fantastic spring season, but we watched him for a long time.”
“We believe that he will make further progress under our implementation team, he is still only twenty-two years old.”
“He knows Igoh, who will help him acclimatize. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for him that his engagement in Eden goes according to his and our ideas.”
The 22 year old who was involved in eleven (11) goals for his former club in the 2022/2023 campaign has already begun training with the team in Aigen in preparations for the new season.
