Nigerian female boxer, Yetunde Odunuga has declared that she is targeting nothing but a gold medal in next month’s World Women Boxing Championship in India.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist in the 60kg event told sports247.ng that her intention is to win gold for Nigeria to end the year on a high.
The Nigerian army officer, who had a questionable decision against her at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year, said she has learnt her lessons over the past years and believes it is time for her to finally pick a gold medal.
Odunuga told sports247.ng on Friday: “I can tell you categorically that there is only target for me in India, and that is to win a gold medal.
“I could only get bronze at Gold Coast 2018, but I am sure it will be different for me next month in India. Only gold will be good for me this time.”
