Odegbami Flaunts Daily Dairy In Governorship Aspiration

Ex-international soccer star, Chief Patrick Segun Odegbami (MON) has stepped up his efforts to become the next governor of Ogun State, as the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations winner is calling out Nigerians to follow his daily dairy on social media.

In what could be a smart effort by ‘Mathematical’ Odegbami to get more members of the electorate conversant with his plans, if elected as the new landlord of Government House, Abeokuta on March 3, the former soccer star turned politician said he welcomes online interactivity.

Odegbami, who has already been confirmed by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the flag bearer of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) for next month’s gubernatorial election in Ogun State, further hinted that he would readily attend to all comments on his diary.

Sports247.ng further learnt that Odegbami will be running the Ogun governorship race with Awofala Awoniyi as his deputy, with his name standing prominently in a list of 39 candidates in The Gateway State.

At the outset of his campaign, Odegbemi declared that Ogun State “is about to witness a political Tsunami such as has never been seen in the state before.”

Odegbami, who owns International Sports Academy, Wasimi, Ogun State and anchors The Sports Parliament on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) network, added that Ogun shall “rise to become the fastest developing environment in the world in four years” if he is elected their governor.

In his latest effort on social media, the man fondly called ‘Big Sheg’ posted: “Just in case anyone chooses to support me in my quest to become the governor of Ogun State in 2019, this is the time to do so.

“They should start by reading to the end of today’s report in my diary and doing the needful. Support Me.”
