Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) president, Samuel Ochebo says he is hoping to gain new ideas and fresh links to better the sport in the country from the cupcoming continental congress in Cote d’Ivoire.
While revealing to sports247.ng that he and HFN geeneral-secretary, Mohammed Maigidansanma will attend the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB) congress in Abidjan this Friday, 26th October, Ocheho said they hope to return home with broader ideas.
He pointed out that they will discuss issues surrounding the growth of handball in Nigeria and Africa during the congress, which is the first for the current board with the continental body.
Ochebo added: “The CAHB Congress comes up 26th October in Abidjan and the assembly will be addressed by President of the African Handball Confederation (CAHB), Mansourou Aremou.
“This will be our first congress as a board since we were inaugurated and Nigeria will be attending led by me in company of the secretary general.
“We hope to meet with other African leaders and look at every partnership we can get for the betterment of handball in Nigeria.
