Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh has charged the Super Eagles to avoid any errors and complacency in next Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
Obuh noted in an interview with sports247.ng that Nigeria lost the first leg 2-0 in Uyo only because the Eagles allowed mistakes to overshadow their efforts, and stressed that they must not allow such to be repeated.
While adding that the Eagles allowed Bafana Bafana get their first ever victory against Nigeria in an away match only through of carelessness, Obuh said he hopes they will do better on November 17th.
Obuh stated further ahead of the potentially explosive match at FNB Stadium, Johanessbourg that Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr must not gamble with the game.
Obuh fired: “We cannot afford to take this match with levity. The players and coach must be very serious about it, because we need to redeem ourselves against South Africa.”
