Nigeria’s teenage golf sensation, Georgia Oboh is picking positives from her outing at the 2019 South African Women’s Masters, with a view that she will build on the experience she gained at San Lameer Country Club.
Though Ob oh, who clocked 18 this week, had a poor start on Day1 of the event, as she could not go beyond 80 points and was placed 40th among 67 players, she insists it was a good learning curve for her.
Sports247.ng reports that this came few days after she narrowly missed out from the final cut by four shots in the final round of Dimension Data Ladies Prom-Am, which was won by Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland.
However, while admitting she had a poor start at the Women’s Masters, Oboh insists she will build upon the exposure and experience, then try to do better in future.
“It was indeed a tough start for me (but) I believe I was able to overcome the slow start to end in joint top 40; amidst the array of stars competing in the tournament.
“It has been a good learning curve for me in South Africa as I hope to pick more experience and also learn from the top players competing in most of these top-class competitions on the Sunshine Ladies Tour,” Oboh said.
