Nigerian female golf youngster Georgia Oboh is set to continue her search for glory in South Africa, as she enters yet another international competition this weekend.
Sports247.ng gathered that, so soon after excelling at the 1st Serengeti Team Golf Championship in Johannesburg, Oboh continues her tour with an appearance in a third competition.
Oboh is on the roster for the Data Dimensions event at the George and Fan Court Golf Clubs, where she will feature along with Nigeria’s men’s number one, Oche Odoh.
This comes after Oboh, who missed the cut at Canon Ladies Open last week, twinkled at the inaugural Serengeti Team Golf Championship, where she finished among the top four at the two-day meet.
At the Serengeti Championship, Oboh achieved a top four finish with her partner, Catherine Lau of South Africa, despite starting out slow in round one on Tuesday.
They initial feel to 14th in a modified format, earning 38 points in a four ball better ball scheme, which saw them scored based on their lowest score per hole; then played a combined card of 3 under par for the day.
On the final day, though, Oboh and Lau hit form with an early birdie on the first hole and rolled 8 birdies to eight under par and score of 44, only to miss the winners’ trophy by two points.
