Renowned Fuji music legend and philanthropist, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, celebrated a significant milestone ahead of his 60th birthday by commissioning a multi-million naira mosque at Iponri Grammar School in Lagos.
The event, held at his alma mater, was a blend of faith, education, and giving back to the community that played a crucial role in his formative years.

“I have always believed in giving back quietly, but this year, God told me it must be loud. Today, we are commissioning this multi-million naira mosque, and it’s a dream come true for me. I thank everyone, especially my fans, for making this possible.”

Obesere further revealed plans to launch an education-focused NGO during his 60th birthday celebrations. This initiative will provide educational resources to schools across Nigeria, starting with Iponri Grammar School.
