Nigeria foremost Fuji musician Abass Akande Obesere, visited Buruj Football Academy camp on the occasion of the 54th Birthday of the CEO of the club, Waheed Salaudeen to celebrate with the Buruj family on Saturday, 17 August 2024, Sports247 reports.
The iconic Fuji musician who is the first Nigerian musician to own a football academy paid a surprise visit to the Ikorodu camp of the academy as the staff and players were elated to have the ‘PK1st’ in their midst.
Obesere, who is the chairman board of trustees of the club and academy told the players to keep their head up as they chase their dream of becoming a professional footballer while he congratulated and prayed for Waheed Buruj on his birthday, a man he described as a rare breed that loves to see the youth grow and excel in their chosen field .
‘ I am here to celebrate with a long time associate and friend, Waheed Salaudeen. He is a man with exceptional love for the growth and development of the youth. I pray for a long time life for him and may God give him the wherewithal to achieve all the goods he wants for the youth through football. ” Said Obesere.
” To you the players i want to keep the focus and trust in God, you will all achieve your goal, as the trustee of the club and academy I will not relent in giving my support as always” Obesere gives his word.
In his appreciation speech, Waheed Salaudeen thanked the Fuji musician for taking a time out of his tight schedule to celebrate him and the academy and pray for greater height God’s protection for the musician.
The philanthropic musician then donated an undisclosed amount of Naira to the players while they celebrated with their CEO.
Waheed Salaudeen is a deep rooted grassroot youth talent developer who uses football as a tool to liberate talented youngsters and achieve their dream of playing football as a carer through the Buruj Football Academy and Football Club Project.
Abass Akande Obesere is one of the strong pillars behind the academy as many players have transited from Nigeria to Europe in actualisation of their dreams of their becoming a professional footballer.
