The Minister of Youths and Sports development, Sunday Dare has heaped praises on the staff of the ministry of youths and sports development for making the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund initiative achievable.
The fund is aimed at supporting enterprises among 68 million Nigerian youths between ages 18 and 35.
In a media chat today with Journalists, the Minister reiterated that the efforts of everyone around him should be lauded.
“There is no magic. I have enjoyed a lot of support from the staff of the ministry who bought into the idea of the initiative. What we had to do, was to dig into what had been done in the past. On doing that, we had to accelerate. The Permanent Secretary and everyone involved accelerated and we got here.”
“We are not yet at the peak but we have started by planting and in a year or two, we yield the fruits of our labor.” He concluded.
Last week, the Federal Executive Council, approved the establishment of 75 billion naira for the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund initiative.
