With less than 72 hours for the curtains to be drawn closed to at the 6th National Youth Games, Team Nasarawa is showing no sign of soft-peddling in their medals’ haul.
The team, this evening, added a Bronze Medal to their medals’ archive, with Doowuese Towpo, winning Bronze Medal in the Girls’ Ayo event.
Before attaining that feat, Team Nasarawa had, earlier in the day, defeated Team Kaduna 2-0 in the final of the Hockey Boys’ event, to clinch the Gold Medal.
As at the close of sporting activities on Sunday evening, Team Nasarawa had won a total of six medals at the ongoing Games holding at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, which comprises three Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze Medal, respectively.
The Gold Medals were won in Karate, Taekwondo, and Hockey. Silver medals were won in Taekwondo and Dart, while Ayo produced the Bronze Medal, accordingly.
The Team plans to win more Medals before the close of hostilities on Tuesday, 19th October 2021.
