The unveiling of the NYDP/ALGON Peace Cup during the 3-days International Summit On Peace And Unity of Nigeria has gotten support from notable Royal Fathers in the Country.
The event which will have the theme “Promoting Peace Within Our Borders” will have Monarchs such as the Oba of Lagos, Obi of Onitsha, Emir of Kano, Emir of Zazzau, and Oba of Benin on the ground.
Other Royal Fathers also expected to be part of the event are the Ooni of Ife, Lamido of Adamawa, Gbong Gwom Jos, and Igwe Okwuloha III of the Udi Ancient Kingdom.
The presence of Royal Fathers during the summit will be significant, as it will further add credence to the Peace Project which the organizers are trying to achieve within the 774 local governments in the country.
Nigeria have come a long way and the unveiling of the NYDP/ALGON Peace Cup during a summit having the presence of monarchs is an indication that the event has got some royal backing.
Globally, royal personalities have always had a role to play in the promotion of peace particularly in sports, and the NYDP/ALGON Peace Cup in Nigeria is in the same direction.
