Bayelsa Queens Head Coach, Moses Aduku, says Ayomide Anibaba is ” very disappointed and sad” after the defender was sent off as Bayelsa Queens defeated Sunshine Queens by a lone goal in the first match of the 2018 Super 4 Championship.
Anibaba picked up two yellow cards for a tackle on Aminat Yakubu and also kicking the ball away unjustly after the referee Yemisi Akinsoye spotted an infringement.
It was the first red card of the former FC Robo’s defender career and she was a bit relieved that her side didn’t concede any goal despite being a man down.
The Bayelsa Queens coach refused to blame Anibaba for the red card, but however asked her to be more careful and disciplined on the pitch next time.
“She is very disappointed and sad. In football, it happens. She knows she made a mistake,” The ‘Restoration Girls’ Manager told the NWFL Media
“Now she has to move on and improve. In the future, she must avoid such situation and learn to be more disciplined on the pitch when tackling an attacker.
Bayelsa Queens will face Nasarawa Amazons in the final of the 2018 NWPL Super 4 on Sunday at the Agege Township Stadium, by 4pm.
