SKF Sered of Slovakia goalkeeper, David Nwolokor has entered the radar of Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr, as sports247.ng gathered that the Franco-German gaffer is in search of more competition in the Nigerian national team’s shot-stopper’s position.
Feelers from the Eagles’ camp indicate that Rohr is eagerly searching for more options in goal, such that Nwolokor, who is on loan from HNK Rijeka of Croatia continues under the gaffer’s searchlight.
Rohr, who has also checked on two other youngsters in Switzerland and Germany as well as Arsenal Arthur Okonkwo, has detailed his scouts to keep regular tabs on the 23-year-old Nwolokor.
The new prospect already has ten appearances this season with SKF Sered, seven in the league and three in the Slovakian FA Cup, which gives him better stats than any other Nigerian goalkeeper in Europe.
In contrast, Nigeria’s current number, Francis Odinaka Uzoho is rolling down the line, as his health certificate issue with Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus has restricted him to just one game since arriving in January.
