Isiaka Asiata Ololade, a defender for Abia Angels FC, expressed her joy following Abia Angels’ triumph over Dannaz Ladies in Matchday 8 of the NWFL Premiership new season.
In an exclusive interview with Sports247, Ololade shared her happiness about the team’s victory, highlighting her role in strengthening the defence after being brought in during the second half of the game.
“I am so happy for the winning although I was brought in the second half of the game to chain the defence stronger.”She said.
Dannaz Ladies led the scores in the second half with a goal in the 52nd minute, which left the Abia Angels players flustered.
Ololade recalled. “However, we regrouped as a team. They scored against us before we rearranged and encouraged ourselves to do better, and we made it together.”
Ololade emphasized the unity and resilience displayed by the Abia Angels squad, attributing their success to teamwork and determination.
Despite facing an initial setback, the team rallied together to secure a commanding 3-1 victory over Dannaz Ladies.
