Interim Coach of Osun Babes has said that her team’s week 2, 3-1 loss to rivals FC Robo was not a bad one.
Osun Babes fell to the sword of FC Robo inspired by Monday Gift’s hat trick in Lagos on Wednesday.
Giving her thoughts after the match, Coach Adunola said it was difficult to get a result in Lagos.
“FC Robo anytime, any day, they have quality players, we had to prepare hard to get something from this game but in football winner must emerge. The result is not bad, we go back to the drawing board to amend our mistakes.”
On how the players are motivated after the protests on Monday, she said her players are only trying.
“My girls have not been paid for three months. They are playing on an empty stomach, what you saw on the pitch is the little motivation we gave them before the match. I still give them credit.”
Osun Babes had on Monday protested three months unpaid salaries to the Osun State government.
After the week two loss, the Omoluabi Queens sit 8th on the NWFL log and will welcome Pelican Stars in their first home match of the season.
