Former Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje has caution Delta Queens fc not to underrate any Club in the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Super 6 championship.
The former Leeds and Charlton Fc of England strongman said the fact that Delta Queens won the abridged league Group A, unbeaten does not make them unbeatable in the continuation of the league top three.
“On paper, it might look like a good draw but football matches are not played on paper, so Delta Queens, has to turn out every game with all seriousness and not under rate any opponent”.
” We have just done the “Host to win” with the just concluded National Sports Festival, so we are looking to do the same with this NWFL Super 6″.
“We have to start off by winning the trophy to encourage our new sports loving Governor”.
“The confidence of our girls is very high after going all season without losing any game. We pray God be with them and if they perform to the standard we know they are capable of, they will be champions”.
He advice that they should be more focus now that they find themselves in a group many women league followers considered to be weaker against Confluence Queens and Edo Queens.
