NWFL SUPER-6: Nasarawa Amazons’ Yina Adoo Banks On Motivation From Coach, Chairperson

Hugely experienced player of Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia, Yina Adoo Philomena is banking on motivation from the club’s coach and their chairperson to lead the team out of their current woes.

Adoo, speaking with Sports 247 hailed her colleagues for putting up a tough fight against Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt on Wednesday and celebrated their fighting spirit, but wondered why they could not come out with at least a point.

The hard as nails player retorted, “It was a fine game. Our players gave a good fight, but we didn’t come out with the point we targeted.”

She went on to hail their zeal and expressed enthusiasm that they would keep on getting better with time, especially with adequate technical and structural motivation coming their way.

“I am confident in the players, and I believe that, with time, we will get better. No team is to be underrated, and we can still do better.

“We have a wonderful coach who always cares for us, and he carries us along. The same with our Mama, the club’s chairperson, Hajiya Dagogo. She always tells us that we must accept things the way they come.

“It does not really matter that we could not win today. What matters is that we are getting better.

“In a game of football, anything can happen. When you lose, just take it, or you draw you accept it, or you win.

“In our next game, I’m not just expecting a goal for the team, I’m expecting a win.”

Nasarawa Amazons are looking forward to change the narrative on their Match Day 4 game against Edo Queens come Friday 24th May, 2024.
