Addressing officiating concerns, Smith called on the NWFL league board to consider introducing Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology. He stressed the importance of timely implementation to avoid officiating challenges in the future.
Smith expressed optimism about the gradual progress in football, stating, “We are getting there. VAR would have to be introduced on time to avoid some football glitches in the future.”
Despite the loss, Smith remained optimistic about the team’s future performances. He stated, “I am proud of my players, and I know that in the next match, we will carry the day.”
