The Nigerian Women Football League board is set for the new season administratively and otherwise with the appointment of Faith Ben – Anuge ( Mrs) as the new Chief Operation Officer.
Faith Ben Anuge replaces Ayo Abdul Rahman PhD. Who will now handle the AITEO division.
Faith a seasoned football Administator once headed the women football Development department which comprises the women league and women Competitions from 2006 to February 2008.
She was later seconded as the Falconent team Administator from 2008 to 2014 with a second placed finish twice at the FIFA U20 world Cup in Germany 2010 and Canada 2014.
She also had a short spell briefly as the Super Falcons Team Manager/Coordinator in 2016 and capped it with a Gold medal in Cameroon.
Mrs Faith Ben Anuge is optimistic in raising the standard of the league with her experience.
“As the new COO my passion of administring women football to its zenith is not in doubt.
I will try my best to usher the women league into a new Era obtainable in global football adminstration.
My corporation and support of the Aisha led NWFL for a better women league not only in Africa but in the world for a better enviable results.
We will focus and strengthen grass roots development and integrate feeder teams” She told tobexSports.
In another development the NWFL sectariat has also been moved to the NFF former office (Glass house) at plot 2033 Olusegun Obasanjo way , Wuse Zone 7, Abuja.
This was conveyed in a letter signed by the new COO to the various women football clubs in Nigeria . The board’s email address also changed to operations@thenwfl.com discarding the former nfawomenleague@yahoo.com.
Faith Ben Anuge first official duty was in Imo State at the late Henrietta Ukaigwe’ burial on the 20th of August 2020.
