The highly anticipated Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership 2023/2024 season is slated to commence on November 15th, with the final matchday scheduled for April 17th, as unveiled during the NWFL organized Press Conference held in Abuja.

The event, attended by esteemed members of the NWFL Board, also divulged essential details about the Super 6 and Championship League kick-off dates, SPORTS247.NG reports.
For the upcoming season, the NWFL Super 6 is scheduled to take place between May 10th and 26th, 2024. Simultaneously, the Second-tier league, known as the Championship, is set to kick off on February 13th, 2024, with its Super 6 tournament scheduled from June 6th to 13th, 2024.
Chairing the conference in Abuja, Ms. Nkechi Obi, the Chairman of the NWFL, shared insights into the rigorous schedule for the season. She emphasized the league’s commitment to adhering to the set dates and ensuring the successful execution of these events.
In an exciting development, the NWFL Premiership will witness the participation of 16 teams, a historic first in the league’s history. Additionally, the Championship league will see 20 clubs vying for supremacy.
