The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced on its Twitter page the postponement of scheduled matches for the ongoing 2023/2024 Premiership season by three weeks.
Originally set for February 28th, 2024, Matchday 10 fixtures will now be held on March 20th, 2024.

The decision to delay the matches comes amid various critical issues, including concerns regarding match operations and officiating, which require immediate attention and resolution.
Modupe Shabi, Chief Operating Officer of NWFL, stressed the importance of promptly addressing these issues to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the league.
She expressed gratitude for the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders and assured fans, players, and officials that efforts are underway to resolve the challenges and deliver an exceptional league experience on the rescheduled date.
