In the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League Nationwide that kick-off on Monday in Benin, Unification FC in group B has beaten Kaduna Queens 6-3 while Fortress Queens crushed Castmog Ladies by four goals to one at the Uniben Sports Complex in Benin City.

In the match between Unification FC and Kaduna Queens, Esther Stephen opened the score in the 6th minute with a screamer, but Justice Yakubu leveled the score for the Queens three minutes later with a brilliant finish.
In the 13th minute, Chidinma Chikwem put the Lagos side up via the penalty spot after a poor challenge by a Kaduna Queens defender in the goal area.
However, five minutes later, Blessing Yakubu brought the score to equilibrium with a wonderful goal, setting the ground for a delicately poised encounter.
The game became a goal feast as Omowunmi Bello restored Unification FC’s lead for the third time in the 30th minute, but the Kada Ladies were back three minutes later.
Unification FC vs Kaduna Queens Jamimah Daniel’s brilliant effort raised the excitement of the game as the score changed to 3-3.
Bello made sure the Lagos team had the last laugh at the end of the first half as she scored her second of the game to finish the half 4-3 in favor of Unification FC.
The second half saw Unification FC get a grip on the game after Chidinma Chikwem increased the lead in the 64th minute.
Substitute, Ifunanya Emmanuel made sure there was no comeback this time for the Kaduna Queens as she made it 6-3 in the 80th minute of the game.
At the end of the match day 1 game, group A is led by First Mahi Babes followed by Papa Soccer Academy while Unification FC and Fortress Queens lead group B.
The action continues at the School of Health and UNIBEN Sports Complex in groups A and B.
