The Technical Director of the Lagos State Football Association, Mr. Dotun Coker, has declared that, the four clubs from Lagos will be unstoppable in the NWFL Nationwide League, when the league kicks-off on April 23 in Benin City.
Coker, told NWFL Media from his base in Lagos, that, the four Lagos clubs: Lakeside Queens, Unification FA, Papa Soccer and P. Kazeem Eletu Fc, are ready to make statements that they are the best in Nigeria at the Nationwide level and are well prepared to gain promotion to the upper division.
The Lagos FA Head of Technical Department stressed that: “The players and technical crew of the Lagos teams know what is at stake in the NWFL Nationwide League. The players know they have to put in their best as the state players’ selectors will be in Benin City to monitor and select players for the state women’s football team ahead of the National Sports Festival Delta 2022.
“We believe strongly that all the two tickets for promotion will be grabbed by Lagos teams. Our teams will continously get technical inputs from the Technical Department of the state FA for each of the matches they will play at the Nationwide League,” Dotun Coker said.
In the NWFL Nationwide League openers on April 23: Lakeside Queens of Lagos playing in Group A1 will confront Abruka Queens at the Western Boys Stadium, Benin, at 9am, while Papa Soccer Academy another Lagos team will host Ekiti Queens FC at the Western Boys Stadium, in a Group A 2 match at 1pm.
In Group B 1 second game same day at 9am, Unification Queens Fc of Lagos will battle Imo Strikers FC at the School of Health Technology. And in Group B2 P. Kazeem Eletu Queens of Lagos battle against FC Niger Amazons also at the School of Health Technology.
