In an interview with Sports247, Coach Danjuma highlighted the importance of assessing the team’s ability to convert chances into goals.
He stated, “We are satisfied but for the conversion of chances. You know, you rate your team based on the chances that are collated. It is a work in progress. You get to see how you were not able to convert those chances and you work on them.”
Nasarawa Amazons, currently in their third game of the season, have secured one win both away and at home, adding a draw to their record.
When asked if he was disappointed in any way, Coach Danjuma adopted a positive outlook, emphasizing the continuous progress of the team.

He remarked, “You don’t get disappointed in players. Life is a progressive stage. If it does not work the way it should today, you go back to your drawing board and see what you should have done differently. So, there is nothing as long as you are alive that is a disappointment. It is a work in progress.”
Discussing the wealth of young talent in Nigerian football, Coach Danjuma praised players like Delight Isaac, acknowledging them as the future stars of women’s football in the country.
He expressed optimism about nurturing more young talents, stating, “Nigeria is blessed with a lot of young players coming up. Delight is one of them. We are looking forward to having more young players like this. These are the future Asisat Oshoalas we have in this country.”
Looking ahead, Coach Christopher Danjuma outlined his targets for the ongoing league, aiming to secure qualification for the Super 6 and subsequently testing the team’s fortitude in the CAF competitions.
He said, “My target is I want to make sure we qualify for the Super 6, then for CAF. We want to test what it looks like. Our mouth is watery, we want to test how it feels like to be in CAF.”
