Ibom Angels coach, Usen Ebuk has expressed his dissatisfaction over his players failure to follow tactical instructions in wake of thier home defeat to FC Robo Queens as they fell to a 2-3 loss in Akwa Ibom to the visiting team.
Usen revealed that the team had a game plan and it has been discussed overtime during thier preparations and build up to the game but he was surprised to see something different other than what was communicated.
“I say that it’s a shocker irrespective of the fact that I announced to them that today’s game is going to be like a cup finals playing against a team that haven’t gotten a point since the league started, that they will come all out.”
“You are home, they either want to draw or win and that they should be proactive but I’m so surprised. From the first half, the team were no where to be found, they didn’t play to instructions hence the reason why I was forced to a 9th minute substitution bringing in three players.”
“After the substitution, the team was then stabilized. i should say that in my career, I know that there are so many challenges in the team, raising the team from nowhere, no name, no experience but with time, they will get to where they have to be,” he explained as he calls for more patience and understanding.
“I should assure the fans, media and every Akwa Ibomite that with time, the team will pick the points they have lost today away from home,” Usen assured.
“I believe we are having two matches to go now before the first round is shelved up, we want to get the maximum six points so that we will get the stability in the league because saying that with time they will get there doesn’t mean they should stay till the end of the season to get it.”
“Every game, you have to plan ahead, when you finish a game, plan the other one. So I believe with what I have seen today, we will work on the team especially in attacking side of it so that we can commit the opponents and get our goals.”
