Coach Rollanson Odeh- led Edo Queens FC will tomorrow afternoon tackle NWFL new League comers Dream Stars FC of Lagos at the popular Agege township Stadium for Week 2 of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership for 20/21 Season.
Adding the players during the last training session in Benin-City the Edo State Capital, veteran Coach Rollanson Odeh urged the girls to go to Agege Stadium and give a good account of themselves by displayed good football artistry, adding that Lagos fans are nobody’s fan, that they are happy when a team is playing good football.
“I’m happy that we are playing our second league match in Lagos, most importantly at the Agege Township Stadium. That Stadium is not new to you players, so there won’t be any need to be scared. To me Agege is home for all teams, so see it as if you are playing at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin-City.”
“One important thing about Lagos football fans is that they are in love with teams that play good football. They are not interested in where you come from, if you play good football and you are winning, they give you their support. For me, Agege is a second home me. So we must go to Lagos with that winning mindset. In football no team is a Pushover don’t ever underrate any side, all teams in NWFL premiership have one aim and that aim is nothing but victory at the end of the season.
I’m very confident of victory and I know my players have all it takes to make Edo State proud and also make our Lagos fans proud too. We are not scared at all.”
Edo Queens kicked off the NWFL for the 20/21 Premiership season last Wednesday on a good note as they humbled Royal Queens of Warri 4-1at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin-City.
Tomorrow’s match will be their first away game and Lagos fans expect to see much from them being the most highly rated female team in the country with an array of female football stars.
