“I am feeling on top of the world already. It is not easy coming to the Premiership league for the first time, playing our first match far away from home and against one of the top teams that played the Super Six in the last edition.

We coming here to get a point from the game is a very good one. I am more than excited. I am happy with the performance of my players,” Coach Diana shared in a post-match interview with Sports 247.

Acknowledging the importance of taking each match one at a time, Coach Diana praised her team’s discipline and dedication, enclosed in what she calls the “3Ds” – determination, discipline, and dedication.

She encouraged her players, emphasizing that the first match in any competition holds substantial weight.

Addressing the uniqueness of Dannaz as a private team among mostly government-owned teams in the league, Coach Diana underlined that success in football is not determined by status but by determination and effort.

She credited the team’s strong bond, support from Mr. Danny Nazzal, and the players’ youthfulness as factors contributing to their success.

Reflecting on missed opportunities during the match, Coach Diana attributed them to player nervousness but expressed confidence in learning from the experience.

She outlined plans to work on the players’ composure and efficiency in converting chances.

Looking ahead to the next game, she believes that if the team can replicate their away performance at home, they will continue to improve and achieve more in the league.

Dannaz Ladies will meet Naija Ratels on Wednesday, 22nd November 2023 at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos State.
