The chairperson Ms Aisha Falode , mgt and staff of the NWFL offer sincere condolences to the mgt and players of Edo Queens FC over the demise of coach Gabriel Adejor whose passing has brought a lot of sadness and grief .
“This indeed is a very difficult time for us at the Nigeria’ women football league while battling with the sorrowful memoir of the inevitable passing of our dear Miss Henrietta Ukaigwe’ , we are been faced with another reality.
We grieve earnestly for the loss of a great man , who wasn’t only a coach , mentor but in many cases a father figure whose dedication and commitment to ensuring his players were successful both on the field and life is legendary”
Coach Gabriel Adejor was an outstanding Nigerian who respected not only on the field of play but in life generally and he was without a doubt, a true icon in the world of sports.
The Edo Queens FC and his family are in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn this irreplaceable loss” Ms Falode stated.
The COO Mrs Faith Anuge in her statement said that the entire women football community have suffered a great loss, and will be eternally grateful for Coach Adejor immeasurable contributions to women football development in Nigeria.
” We pray that the Almight God give his family and Edo Queens the fortitude to bear the loss” she concluded.
