The assertive lass stated further in a chat with sports247.ng that she is determined to have a successful football career in order to uplift her family and friends.

She began by thanking her teammates, who made it possible for her to score the goals that gave her side victory at U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar.

Lamiat Olamilekan stated gleefully, “I was so happy, scoring four goals in this match. Firstly, I wasn’t expecting it because I did not start.

“I entered in the first half, but it was from the bench. So, I am so happy that I was able to make a difference.

“I was also so happy for my colleagues. Because, if not for them, I won’t be able to score those goals.

“I am also happy that we were able to utilise the chances that we got.”

She then cast a look ahead at their prospects of gaining promotion to the top-flight NWFL Premiership and also acknowledged the roles being played by the technical crew.

“Our coaches are expecting more from us in the next game so that we can move up.

“We know we can do better. It is our third game, and we must win it as the last group match,” she admitted.

Olamilekan concluded with an affirmation of her future ambition and shed light on her targets in the round leather game.

“In the next five years, I would like to see myself playing abroad; because it is not easy here in Nigeria.

“I have many people waiting behind me in my family. I have my parents, my brothers, my friends and other people who are looking up to me.

“I will like to play for Barcelona, because of their pattern of playing and the calibre of players that they have,” Olamilekan projected.
