NWFL: Bayelsa Queens Down Hard Fighting Naija Ratels FC

Bayelsa Queens fought out to 2-1 victory over Naija Ratels in the Matchday 6 encounter of the NWFL player today at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Sports247 reports.

The Prosperity Girls secured a the maximum three points in the highly intense match through goals from Dooshima Tarnum and Delight Isaac.

Both sides started the match on a cautious as as early opportunities fell in the direction of Bayelsa United.

The pressure paid off In early game which resulted in a penalty, but Florence Alexander’s effort hit the post to keep score goalless.

As the half progressed, both teams created scoring chances but failed to capitalize. The first half ended goalless, with Bayelsa Queens and Naija Ratels locked in a tightly contested battle.

The second half saw a more open and attacking approach from both teams.

Naija Ratels broke the deadlock in the 71st minute through Adanna Nwachukwu’s goal.

However, Bayelsa Queens responded quickly, with Dooshima Tarnum scoring a stunning equalizer from a distant free kick in the 73rd minute.

The Prosperity Girls continued to push forward, and their efforts paid off in the 77th minute when Delight Isaac scored the winning goal.

Two minutes of added time were announced, but Bayelsa Queens managed to hold on to their lead, securing a crucial 2-1 victory.

Bayelsa Queens now extend unbeaten streak in the season, they now won their third game of the season with two draws which keeps them on top of the group B with 14 points .

The result means Naija Ratels FC have now lost their first game of the season and failed to add to their seven points haul.
