Coach Bashiru Fatai of Dannaz Ladies commends the team for their performance after the goalless draw against Nasarawa Amazons on Wednesday, emphasizing the team’s efforts and outlining areas for improvement.
In a post-match interview with Sports247, Fatai expressed his overall satisfaction with the game, considering they faced one of the league’s best teams.
He stated, “I am not disappointed with what I saw in the game today because we were up against one of the best teams in the league. They were the winners of last season and have not lost any game so far.
It was a good game for the girls because they worked hard and did their best. They had chances to convert but it didn’t happen.”
Despite the goalless result, Fatai acknowledged the team’s performance, highlighting the challenges of facing a formidable opponent.
How You Can Get a Chance TO Become a Millionaire
He noted, “My expectations were that we were coming to get three points because we are the best team. We can’t tell the girls that they are coming to get a draw. We had the chance to convert but did not make good use of it. But it was a good game.”
Looking ahead, Fatai outlined plans for improvement, particularly in the team’s attacking prowess.
He said, “I am satisfied with the game the girls played only they did not crown it with a goal. Going forward, we would work on our attacking.
We need to score more goals. We can’t be playing without scoring goals because it is the goals that will make the team gain points and rise on the table.”
Fatai’s balanced assessment reflects a constructive approach, acknowledging the team’s strengths while identifying key areas for development in future matches.
