The Osun Babes duo of Coach Yinka Adunola and striker, Yemisi Samuel both missed out on the individual NWFL monthly awards for coach and player of the month respectively.
The duo had been nominated for the awards after impressive returns for the club in December which saw them win twice with Yemisi scoring thrice in three matches.
As announced by the NWFL, Sports247 reports that FC Robo striker and captain, Monday Gift went home with the Player of the month award.
The Super Falcons striker’s hat trick against Osun Babes and her assist in Lafia helped her to be crowned player of the month.
Scoring the first hat trick of the season, Gift zoomed past the other 4 nominees with ease.
Leading his team to 100% record in the league, Bayelsa Queens coach, Moses Aduku was named coach of the month.
Two home wins and one away win sees Aduku’s team sit at zenith of the NWFL table as the league resumed from its festive period break on Wednesday.
Both awards are rewards for outstanding performances for the month of December, 2020.
Action will resume in the league on Wednesday as week 4 fixtures go down in different match centres across the country.
