In the face of a Corona virus driven world, the Nigeria Women Football League is unsure of when the league will lock start.
The NWFL season was set to start earlier in March but was postponed due to some clubs failure to complete registration after which it was postponed indefinitely due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
In a video conference with representatives of the NWFL clubs, Aisha Falode, Head NWFL management committee disclosed that the Sports Minister, Sunday Dare insists that all Nigerian leagues will not be cancelled.
According to her, the league will only resume when FIFA and federal government deem it safe to relax the restrictions on football activities.
Falode added that on resumption of the league, the minister directed that all covid-19 preventive measures must be observed as well as adequate provision of medical equipment and personals at match venues.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in the country, all sporting activities have been put on hold.
