Super Eagles striker Anthony Nwakaeme has been chosen as the best player for MatchDay 29 of the Turkish Super Lig.
The 30-year-old maintained his terrific form in the Turkish League, scoring once and assisting another to propel Trabzonspor to a 2-1 win over Yeni Melatyaspor on Saturday.
The one-cap Super Eagles International has been in brilliant form in his last ten games across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.
With a whoscored rating of 9.5, Nwakaeme pipped players such as Ajax product Mitchell Donald and former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker to the accolade.
Nwakaeme, who started his European career in Romania, had a successful three-year spell at Hapoel Be’er Sheva – where he won three consecutive league titles as well as lifting two Israeli Cups.
