Nurat Sports Fiesta Concludes, Hon. Nurat Olayinka Zubar Applauded For Youth Empowerment

The Nurat Sports Fiesta came to an exciting close on Saturday, marking the end of a week-long celebration of sportsmanship and community engagement.

Hon. Nurat Olayinka Zubar, a leading Chairmanship aspirant from Olorunda LCDA, organized the event to foster unity and provide a platform for young talents to shine.

The fiesta brought together youths and teenagers from various wards, competing in football, volleyball, Ayo Olopon, and other games. The event was well attended, with community leaders and supporters commending its impact.

Alh. Adesina, APC Woman Leader for Olorunda LCDA, praised Hon. Nurat Olayinka for her dedication to youth empowerment and community development.

“We are proud of what Hon. Nurat Olayinka has achieved with this event,” Adesina said. “Her commitment to empowering youths and developing our community is truly inspiring.”

Hon. Nurat Olayinka Zubar expressed her joy at the event’s success, emphasizing the power of sports in fostering unity and healthy competition.

“I am thrilled to see our youths come together and showcase their talents. This event is a testament to the power of sports in uniting our community and promoting healthy competition.”

When asked about her motivation, she stated:

“As a leader, I believe it is essential to invest in the future of our youths. This event is just one of the many initiatives I plan to implement to empower and support our young people.”

The fiesta saw several winners emerge across different categories:

Draughts Finals: Olaotan Feranmi (Ward C) claimed first place, while David Boluwatife finished second.

Ludo Finals: Adeniran Habeeb (Ward A) emerged victorious, with Oguntan Olalekan (Ward C) as the runner-up.

Volleyball: Team A, led by Lekan Abiola, Oluwatoyin Ojo, Confidence John Chukwu, and Kehinde Okuwayemi, won gold, while Ward D took silver.

Ayo Olopon: Rabiu Elijah (Ward A) secured first place, with Adeleke Elijah (Ward C) finishing second.

Football Finals: Ward E defeated Ward C in a thrilling match.

The Nurat Sports Fiesta not only highlighted young athletes’ skills but also reinforced the importance of community engagement through sports.

The event’s success reflects Hon. Nurat Olayinka’s commitment to youth development and her vision for a stronger, united Olorunda LCDA.
