The technical director of Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, Ntiense Williams has declared that the event will debut at the 20th National Sports Festival.
Although no host has yet been named for the next festival, Williams disclosed in a chat with sports247.ng that discussions have already been held to commence rugby in 2020.
Ntiense assured: “I am sure that rugby will make its debut at the next edition of the National Sports Festival, because deliberations have been held with the organisers.
“Based on our discussions, rugby will be welcomed into the festival fold primarily because of its recognition as an Olympic Games medal winning event since 2016.”
