Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) technical director, Ntiense Williams has disclosed that clubs and coaches in the country have been supported with new training ideas from the national body.
‘Mr Rugby’ revealed in an interview with sports247.ng that the clubs were each handed a blueprint of training programmes and technique sheet to adopt that aligns with the national team’s standards.
Williams said the gesture was taken to enable Nigerian rugby players based in the country have a seamless adaption into the workings the national team, Black Stallions and adapt any time they are called up.
The technical director further revealed that the idea was developed by Black Stallions’ head coach, Bronson Weir to shape future prospects.
Williams added: “The idea of technical blueprint for clubs in the country was conceptualized by the national team’s coach.
“He came up with this idea in the hope that it will determine Nigeria’s rugby philosophy moving forward.”
