Team Edo has registered it’s name on the Gold medals chart of the ongoing Delta 2022 Games in Asaba after Isa Momoh finished best rider in the Men’s 500m Sprint Cycling on Friday morning.
Team Edo claimed it’s first medal on thursday evening when Ogbomo Aisosa won Silver medal in the Dart 501 Men’s Singles after losing 1-3 to Nnamdi of Team Abia in the finals
In Dart, Team Edo got their campaign started in a beautiful fashion after Amin Aimuamwonsa got through to the Round of 16 after defeating Dawai of Team Kaduna 2-0 in the DART- Tripple Double Bull(TDB) Male Singles. Aimuamwonsa will be facing Amadou of Team Bayelsa in the Round of 16 which is expected to resume later in the day.
Aisossa Ogbomo on the other hand will engage Bala Mohammed of Team FCT in the round of 32.
In the Women’s Singles of DART, Maris defeated Ugochi of Team Rivers 2-0 to advance to the Round of 16 to face Grace of Team Kaduna .
Onajite Onuyoh of Team Edo beat Mary of Team Bayelsa 2-0 to set up a Round of 16 battle with Adeyemi of Team Ogun in the Round of 32 to brighten the chances of Edo in medal chase in DART.
