Delta State got mixed results on day 2 of the handball event of the 21st National Sports Festival going on in Asaba, Delta State.
The male category, Delta defeated rival Edo State 21-19 in what was termed the bendel derby while Kano taught Imo some handball lessons with a 28 -16 win.
Lagos earned a big victory as they defeated Rivers 30-12 while Sokoto put their experience to play as they defeated Anambra 26-22.
Ogun State comfortably defeated Borno 35-25.
In the female category, Oyo caused an upset as they defeated host Delta with a 25-24 victory while Edo defeated Lagos 18-16.
