As the curtains for the 21st Edition of the National Sports Festival wind down on Saturday, Team Nasarawa have added a Bronze to their medal haul.
Dauda Nasiru picked up the medal in the +84kg Male Karate Event on Friday.
The latest addition brings to twenty-three(23) the total number of medals so far won by Team Nasarawa at the Sports Festival.
There is still hope for the State to win her first Gold medal before the Closing Ceremony as four-time National Sports Festival Gold medalist in the Marathon Race, Philibus Sharubutu, will be in action on Saturday morning alongside other contestants for the 42 kilometres competition.
The Twenty-three Medals Team Nasarawa have raked in comprise Seven Silver and Sixteen Bronze Medals.
Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, will represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the closing ceremony where he is expected to announce a new host for the next edition of the biannual national multi-sport fiesta.
