In anticipation of the upcoming African Games scheduled for March 8 to March 23, 2024, in Ghana, Dr. Ademola Are, the President of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF), has mobilized all federations for concerted efforts.
With just about two months remaining, Dr Are deems the meeting with the Minister of Sports Development well-timed, considering the dual significance of the All African Games as qualifiers for specific events in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Addressing past grievances, Dr. Ademola Are urged federation Presidents to prioritize the bigger picture, focusing on collaboration with the Honourable Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh, to secure the federation’s roles in achieving podium finishes at the games.
He acknowledged the sacrifices and efforts of federation leaders and stressed the need to work collectively towards Nigeria’s relevance in the international sports community.
To address logistical concerns, Dr. Ademola Are clarified that the ministry would handle the logistics for the attendance of federation Presidents and their secretaries at the meeting.
