Reflecting on the game, Ogunbote lamented his team’s failure to secure at least a point, citing what he perceived as carelessness.
“The game has been won and lost, we will take the positives,” he remarked.
“Be it as it may, sometimes, you give it your all but you don’t get the desired result, at worst, we deserve a point from this game.”
He pinpointed a moment of defensive vulnerability that led to conceding the solitary goal, acknowledging it as a situation that could have been avoided.
“We were careless with the goal we conceded today, it’s a situation we could have avoided,” he stated.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, Ogunbote, affectionately known as “the Oracle,” maintained his confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back.
“This is the first game, we still have about eighteen games in the second stanza,” he affirmed.
“All we need to do is to see what we needed to do that we didn’t do right in this game, and once we get that done, I’m sure we will get it right.”
