In a recent development, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has rescheduled two fixtures involving Kwara United Football Club in the ongoing 2023/2024 season.
The affected matches are the outstanding Matchday 18 encounter against Heartland Football Club of Owerri and the Matchday 19 encounter against Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure.

The Matchday 19 game against Sunshine Stars, originally slated for Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Ilorin, has been brought forward to Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Main Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
Meanwhile, the outstanding Matchday 18 fixture against Heartland FC, initially scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2024, has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Owerri.
The date change was necessitated by the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodinma, which took place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Monday, January 15, 2024.
Additionally, the encounter between Rangers International and Rivers United, originally fixed for December 3, 2023, has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Enugu.
The official letter announcing these fixture adjustments, dated January 16, 2024, and signed by Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the NPFL, emphasized the need for clubs to provide maximum cooperation to the technical teams and ensure all necessary logistics are in place for smooth and hitch-free games.
