The Benin Arsenal’s captain made the appeal before their evening training session on Wednesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium ahead of the week 24 tie against Gombe Utd on Friday evening. Kick off time is 5:30 PM.
According to Maurice Prince, Bendel Insurance needs the support of all stakeholders now than ever before.
“We have been passing through difficulties and we understand how our fans and supporters, even our employers feel right now, looking at the results we have posted recently. We are down to number 10 on the table after losing three games and one draw in all the four matches so far played in this second round. ”
“We appeal to all our supporters and fans as well as our state government not to lose hope. This is the time we really need your support and by God’s grace we will win on Friday and finally come out of the difficult situation we find ourselves. ”
“We are hosting Gombe Utd on Friday and we want our people to come out enmasse to the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium to cheer us up and we are going to put smiles on your faces again.” Maurice assured.
The Benin Arsenals, no doubt are thirsty for goals and are eager to return to winning ways as they are coming from back to back defeat. They lost their double away games 2-0 to Plateau Utd at the New Jos International Stadium on Sunday after a 1-0 to Shooting Stars earlier in the week.
Bendel Insurance currently occupies the 10th position on the log with 31 points while their visitors occupy 19th position with 22 points.
Recall that Gombe United defeated Bendel Insurance FC 1-0 in their first round meeting in Gombe and the revised fixture on Friday could be a payback time for Insurance.
