Uyo based side, Akwa United has now been given the needed permission to return to their home stadium,the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium,also known as the Nest of Champions, following their ban earlier in the season.
In a letter released by Stanley Ike-Richard,For the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL,Davison Owumi,it was stated that Akwa United had their letter received by the board and their request had been granted.
The Promise Keepers will now return to the Nest of Champions for the second round of the NPFL,to prosecute the remainder of their games,with the imperative to make sure the necessary logistics and arrangements are available for smooth running of games.
Akwa United will now be looking to move out of the relegation with the full support of their fans,coming to back them in Uyo, with their first game at the stadium being against the People’s Elephants, Enyimba of Aba.
